Ms Karina Ridzuan has taken over Ms Juniwati Rahmat Hussin as the new CEO of Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS (DFP) and the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) on 1 Mar 09.

John Kotzas has been appointed as the new Director of the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) from 1 Jan 09. He has been with QPAC since 1989 and was its Artistic Director since 2003.

After 7 years at City Recital Hall, Deputy General Manager Lisa Robertson has moved on to a new adventure, and James Cox, former Venue Hire Coordinator has been promoted to the position of Manager, Venue Services.

Shin Hong-soon has been appointed as the new President of Seoul Arts Center (SAC). Shin takes over the helm of SAC after former president Shin Hyun-taek tendered his resignation in April.

Suzhou Science and Cultural Arts Centre’s CEO, William Wong has stepped down from his role in mid-July 08 to return to the private sector.

Shanghai Grand Theatre announced the promotion and appointment of Zhang Xiaoding and Xu Yin to Deputy General Managers. Zhang will now oversee programming and Xu will mainly be responsible for marketing.

Dr. LIU, Chung-Shu took office as the Artistic Director of the National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Centre on 1 May 08. Prior to this, Dr Liu was Dean of the College of Humanities and Arts as well as the Professor of Piano at the National Taipei University of Education.

St James Theatre and Opera House Wellington's new CEO Craig Goodall started on 14 April, and Celia Walmsley has moved to her new role of Director Programming.

Artistic Director of National Chiang Kai-shek Cultural Center, Mr. Yang Chyi-Wen has left his position on 1 Feb 08. Chairperson, Mrs. Tchen Yu-Chiou has taken over his duties from February till further notice.

QPAC’s Chief Executive, Craig McGovern stepped down from his role on 29 Feb 08 to return to the private sector. Craig was at the helm of Queenland’s premier performing arts centre for six years prior to his departure.

Artistic Director of National Chiang Kai-shek Cultural Center, Mr. Yang Chyi-Wen has left his position on 31 January 2008. Chairperson Mrs. Tchen Yu-Chiou will take over his duties from February till further notice.
