- Members shall not make statements and representations that are knowingly or intentionally false, misleading or inaccurate.
- Members shall respect the privacy concerns, missions and rights of individuals / organizations with whom they do business.
- In all business dealings, members shall at all times maintain the highest ethical standards and shall not abuse their professional affiliation by soliciting inappropriate perquisites or benefits of any sort that may result in personal gain.
- Members shall not abuse the database of members’ contacts to spam other members in an effort to promote their activities/interests unless there is a prior agreement with individual members. Various publicity platforms are in place and should be utilised appropriately.
- Members shall not breach professional confidences. Members are encouraged to be circumspect, judicious, fair minded and respectful.
- Members shall be held responsible for the actions and commitments of their staff and associated individuals.
- For reasons of a member's violation of the Code, absence of qualifications for membership, or misconduct tending to bring discredit upon the Association or the performing arts field, the Executive Council may move to recommend expulsion of the member from the Association, non-renewal of membership, or censure by consensus. In these cases, the member will be given written notice on the cause for such action. Following which, in accordance with item 8.4 of the Rules of Association, the Executive Council shall inform the Annual General Meeting and submit its recommendation for ratification.
- The decision of the Annual General Meeting shall be final and non-negotiable. No publicity will be given to such disciplinary actions.
