AAPPAC creates a unique opportunity to strengthen the connections between performing arts centres across the Asia-Pacific region. How people use these connections is up to them – whether it is for easier information exchange, building networks between professional colleagues, learning from others' approaches and experiences, arranging staff development exchanges, or sharing programming ideas and opportunities. Such things can happen quicker and better through the connections developed by the Association.
It is easy to see the differences between the centres and their communities. The Association provides a forum that can serve to reinforce the similarities. It can contribute to a broader sense of common purpose. That is an important role and everyone can benefit from it.

AAPPAC was a tremendous resource for us when we were planning the opening of the centre. It connected us to our colleagues around the region and opened many doors. The close cooperation and open communication that we enjoy between managements is invaluable. We have shared numerous programmes with fellow members, developing tours which otherwise would not have happened. The goodwill within this network is remarkable. |

Be it in collaborations or sharing experiences on venue management, for the past few years, Shanghai Grand Theatre has constantly benefited from AAPPAC. Through AAPPAC, our staff also participated in a training exchange programme with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay. Now empowered with advanced management concepts, their work performances are more outstanding and professional than before. We will continue to facilitate a greater level of cultural exchange among the various member centres and contribute towards the development of the arts in Asia-Pacific. |

Shenzhen Concert Hall has benefited immensely from the AAPPAC membership. We have exchanged valuable suggestions and advice concerning the construction and management of our new halls from fellow members. Through AAPPAC, 8 of our senior staff also attended an exchange programme with Esplanade and received a month's professional training on managing and operating an arts center. This is of great importance to us as it will help in our preparation for the Official Opening. |
