The opening of Muang Thai Rachadalai Theatre marks a milestone achievement for Thailand. Situated on the 6th floor of The Esplanade in central Bangkok’s Rachadapisek Road, the Theatre was officially opened on 23 May 07 with the launch of ‘Fah Jarod Sai: The Musical’, in one of the most glamorous events of the year that has become the talk of the town ever since. The first of its kind in Thailand, this spectacular Theatre meets international Broadway standards in live stage play; its features include state-of-the-art flying system technology for breathtaking scene and backdrop change, cutting-edge acoustics that enrapture the entire audience, 1,527 comfortable seats to give viewers an ethereal intimacy with performers, a comprehensive library showcasing thousands of books on Theatrical Arts and related topics, and so much more. |

Muang Thai Rachadalai Theatre was the brainchild of Mr. Takonkiet Viravan, Managing Director of the theatre, who envisioned a platform that could expand and develop all aspects of Thai live entertainment and cultivate the taste of Thai audiences to appreciate and enjoy other alternatives to home entertainment. Construction of the Theatre gathered experienced teams of experts from the international live stage play arena that transformed imagination to reality.
The Theatre will feature regular live plays by Scenario Co., Ltd. (the resident company in Muang Thai Rachadalai Theatre), international plays from outside the country as well as other performances. Through its opening, Scenario Co., Ltd. has set a precedence for others to follow suit in launching newer entertainment forms that revolutionize the Thai Entertainment Arena.
