CEO Appointment Changes


Aichi Arts Center, Japan

Mr Shouzo Shimada is the new President at Aichi Arts Center with effect from April 2007, replacing Mr Masao Mori. Mr Shimada is a Japanese artist of Western art, with profound artistic attainments in visual art forms. Before taking up this role of President at Aichi Arts Center, Mr Shimada was the Dean of the Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music.



Istana Budaya, Malaysia

Following the transfer of Mr Azhar Abu Bakar, Mr Mohamed Juhari Shaarani, Deputy Director General (Artistic), is currently the acting head of Istana Budaya.


National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center, Taiwan

Mr Yang Chyi-wen has taken over from Ms Ping Heng as the Artistic Director at National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center. Mr Yang is also the Dean of Research & Development Affairs at Taipei University of the Arts, as well as Associate Professor at Department of Theatrical Design and Technology, Taipei National University of the Arts. Mr Yang has professional experience in theatre design, arts administration and architectural design.


Seoul Arts Center, Korea

With effect from 3 May 2007, Mr Hyuntaek Shin has taken up the position of President at Seoul Arts Center, replacing Mr Young-Bae Kim. Prior to this appointment at Seoul Arts Center, Mr Shin was the Vice Minister at the Ministry of Gender Equality & Family. Mr Shin holds a PhD in Public Administration from Kyongki University.
